La Salsa is undoubtedly an historic restaurant in Las Terrenas.

It was open 25 years ago in the heart of the fishermen village (Pueblo de los Pescadores), which at that time was only represented by small wood houses next to the shore, so it’s one of the oldest establishments in the area.

Isabelle and Maurizio have owned La Salsa for two years now, a place that despite all these years has not lost its charm: on the contrary, the restaurant is now one of the few places where you will find the authenticity that characterizes the unique spirit of Las Terrenas.

Isabelle, who fell fell in love with Las Terrenas 13 years ago, decorated La Salsa with orange, salmon and beige colours that, under the soft light give a warm, tropical, and very sober ambiance.

For dinner, the restaurant offers an indoor space, near to the bar and a more isolated area, for those who want more privacy.

But the most attractive area of La Salsa is the lovely terrace, one of the few places in Las Terrenas where you will be able to enjoy a delicious outdoor dinner, under the coconut trees and very near to the sea.

As for the decoration, the simplicity and the experience are the key words in the kitchen. In fact, the meals offered at La Salsa are adapted to the season and especially to what you want to eat: every weekend, new preparations are created. The restaurant food is very varied: the menu offers preparations inspired by the exotic, Italian, French, and of course, the Dominican meals.

La Salsa offers a large range of fish and seafood, delicious steaks and red meat, risotto and excellent pizzas, not to mention the house speciality: shrimp rolls, something you can’t miss ! Therefore, the restaurant La Salsa is the perfect place if you want to enjoy a pleasant evening for great price.
